    R780 Why no Fan speed Adjust

    Why the hell hasnt samsung added the ability to control the fan speed on the R780 i5 is beyond me, im sure the fan is"nt kicking in properly when playing high end games, the laptop gets very hot,
    anybody else having heating problems?

    1. Use HWmonitor to check the temperatures. Where is the computer getting hot? Which GPU?

    2. Some Samsung models us Fn + F? to provide a simple control on fan activity which provides some trade-off between fan noise and heat. However, this may not make a difference under high load.

    geta very hot under the laptop by the outlet fan, but only when playing high end games
    my fn keys dont do crap :confused:

    same here, speedfan dosent do anything and the options in the BIOS are almost non exhistant.
    its the cpu that reaches really high temps while playing Bad company 2 and Medal of honor 4 on the lowest settings. itll reach the max of 105 the just shut down.
    i wasnt having this problem 6 months ago when i first got the r780 but now its slowley getting worse and worse.
    is there anyway to increase the fan speed on this model? or even safely remove the cover to check for dust. i tried to remove the cover but there are too many unaccessible wires holding both the case and the keyboard together
