I bought a RC512-s02us from Best Buy a few weeks ago and it was supplied with the AD6019 which is a 60 watt power supply. The Samsung page shows a AD9019 which is a 90 watt power supply. Which one is correct unit.

I called Samsung and they couldn't tell me anything and they recommended I send it to service center. Sounds crazy to have to ship the computer and power adapter just to verify if I have the right adapter.

If the PSU isn't up to the task then most likely the CPU will throttle. Are you seeing any performance issues. 60W is OK if you have a dual core CPU and the integrated Intel graphics.

If you have a quad core CPU and/or Optimus / dedicated graphics then you will need the 90W PSU.

It might be less hassle to pop round to ebay and get a 90W adaptor and keep the one you have in reserve.

    Thanks for the reply.

I found several 90 watt adapters on Ebay for a pretty good price, but I was hoping someone with a RC512 would look at theirs and see what model they had before I ordered one.

BTW mine is a i7 quad core and is quite power hungry!

The quad core package is rated at 45W which leaves 15W for the rest of the computer. That might be enough if the GPU isn't doing anything significant and you aren't trying to charge the battery.

HWiNFO32 has a nice graphical display of the CPU speed while the SiSoftware Sandra benchmarks will highlight if your hardware isn't performing in the the same range as encountered by others.

Sorry for reviving this thread but how exactly do you check what power adapter you have?

I only ask because I believe my 525m is being throttled down, its nowhere near the speeds what notebookcheck has stated.

Look at the label on the bottom. There should be something similar to "19V, 4.75A".
