    Hi Folks

Sorry my first post is a plea for assistance, hopefully be able to contribute something when more familiar with my Samsung.

Just bought an RF511- A01 in UK and have been setting it up this evening. Lovely machine but one thing bugging me at the moment. Trying to watch any video or DVD with Windows Media Player there is a lot of fine flashing blue lines of interference accross the screen. I noticed it also doing the same when I tried the webcam viewer.

However I installed VLC player and the picture is absolutely crystal clear with it which makes me think the graphics are hopefully OK.

Does anone have any ideas what may be causing this.

    Much appreciated.

See the suggestions in this and this threads.

Are you problems the same, or different?

Had a further play around after posting, I mentioned the webcam screen also gave the same blue dot interferance when you were viewing it but I noticed when i pressed record and played the clip back there was no interference showing at all.

I also tried the DVD again through WMP and it displayed the interference and then my trusty old VLC player and picture quality was perfect.

There are no issues audio wise.

I've tried unplugging laptop from mains, disconnecting the wifi/mifi but this interference still persists but only seems to be on these 2 applications (so far)

I'm assuming from this the shared graphics are OK and possibly an issue with Windows Media Player and the Cyberlink Youcam software? but as I said I'm really not up to speed on these things or the settings etc. but only had it a few days.

I'll persevere but if you or anyone could offer any other opinions it would be appreciated.

This aside I'm really impressed with the Samsung having been a serial Vaio owner before.

    Thanks again
