Recently purchased a RF711/i5-2410m/6GB/1TB/17.3 to replace an Acer 5610 series.

I'm pleased over all, but I do have one niggle -- the screen seems to have a blusih/violet cast to it. Not specific to one area of the screen, but all aover, and rendering pale blues and greys in an unhappy way.

This probably wouldn't matter too much to me if it weren't for the fact that I bought it primarily to use as a platform for storing and editing digital photographs.

Changing the NVIDIA colour settings (especially gamma) improves things a bit but doesn't eradicate this odd colour cast completely.

As colours don't seem to render "true", I want to know whether this is a problem with this individual unit (in which case it can go back for a replacement) or whether these are "samsung colours" (in which I'll retiurn it as not fit for use and buy a different maker)

Anyone else seen this effect? Got any advice?

    thanks in advance
