Hi I just wanted to install another version of win7(another language I already got) I wiped out the restore partitions and everything(they werent in english and was useless for me.) After selecting the 750gb partition to install the setup installed the windows, after restart screen just starts to flash ( leds turn on and off( screen is black no sign or whatsoever)

    my disk is Hitachi Deskstar 7K750 750GB SATA300 HTS727575A9E364

and there is also another unspecified partition of 8GB is displayed on windows setup. I tried to delete it or formatted as another partition but nothing happened. So what seems to be the problem? The system just starts out and installs windows fine but like I said after installation, when booting from hard drive(hitachi is the first boot device) this flashing happens(and it does not end)

Many thanks to everyone who helps in any kind of way.

Are you by chance installing from USB? If so, see the last thread I started. The exact same thing your describing happened with my 700Z5A, and due to replacing the optical drive with ssd/hdd, I had to install from external DVD to get it to work.

Assuming the BIOS is similar to the Series 9 then press F2 at the BIOS screen to get into the BIOS setup and disable the fast boot option. You will also need to put USB above HDD in the boot order. And if that isn't enough then try pressing F10 at the BIOS screen to get a one time list of boot devices and select the one you want.

Have you both moved DVD/external DVD up in priority?

Psyco, again the exact same thing was happening to me, but only after initial install via USB thumb drive.

yes ofcourse I moved out matida internal (whatever ıt is) and my Teac external drive in boot order. But no they both fail to boot the disk(maybe I should try another disc). At least if the exact same thing happening to you it is a good sign that it is solveable.

I just tested it again now and it works for me.

Make sure Legacy USB support is enabled in the bios, move USB DVD to top of priority boot list, and make sure you're using a USB 2.0 port (not USB 3). Also, if this doesn't work, do a cold boot start instead of a reboot.

I solved the problem by duplicating my installation disk into external dvd drive. started the machine both disks inserted and the internal one manage to read the disk by time gained from external drive (so the problem was the disks afterall the boot doesnt wait drives to do the reading properly)

    Thanks everyone
