    SC7 and clicking noise

    I've done some research and I found this noise can be related to the parking behaviour of the needles in the Hitachi Travelstar 7K750 drive. Does anybody experienced this problem? Did any fix work for you? Seems that power saving features of the drive can be modified via Hitachi Feature Tool, I wonder if the noisy problem could be fixed using this tool...

    The Hitachi drive isn't that noisy when compared to WD drives...

    I find that the power supply is much more noisy than the drive.

    Agree. Typically, manufactures package the cheapest power supply they can get. Stupid things make all kinds of annoying noises. :mad:
