    Hi Forum,

I working with an NP900x3c. As the SSD Capacity (256GB) is always running out i was thinking about using the SD Card slot for extention. As normal SD Cards does not fit well in the slot (overlap with the chassis) i tried to find an shorter one. Sandisk is offering some Minidrive "http://www.sandisk.com/products/memory-cards/readers/ultra-minidrive/" for Macbooks..

Are there any recommendation for small sd cards which fit's into the chassis for permanent usage?

Thanks for your help in advance,

    Andreas

There are a number of the shortened SD cards or short adapters such as the Nifty Minidrive that take a micro SD card. One that looks reasonably priced is this. However, be forewarned that the X3C's SD card slot is a relatively slow USB 2.0 device although if you are loading it as a store for music or videos then it will be adequate.

I would, however, strongly recommend that you consider replacing your SSD with a bigger one since that will boost the overall performance. I would recommend the Samsung EVO mSATA.
