I am already to pull the lever.....just one more detail.

Would somebody please post the rectangular dimensions of the actual viewing area of the screen.

    Left to Right? ____

    Top to Bottom? ____

I am thinking that the 10" dimension quoted is diagonal and would like to take a sheet of paper and block this out. I found the Acer Aspire One screen ...TOO tiny.

    Thank you in advance.

In metric units, the display is 224mm wide x 131mm high and diagonal = 260mm.

In footric units, this is 8.82" wide, 5.17" high and diagonal = 10.22".

ivwshane seems to have got a slightly bigger screen than mine!

But we engineers try to get their measurements correct, otherwise things might not fit. :(

Governments are very good at fudging things.

I have had an Acer Aspire One, an HP Mini-Note, and the NC10 all side by side and the NC10 screen is the most legible. It is easily read and the text looks good, and the backlight is strong and even. Its a lot bigger than the AAO's screen, the 1 inch (actually 10.2-8.9= 1.3") really makes a difference.

    Thanks for the helpful photos.

Screen area is proportion to the diagonal squared, so 10.2" is 31% bigger in area than 8.9".
