    Hi.

I'm trying to set up NoSpamToday on my Samsung NC20 but it can't seem to find the Scanner Executable command for McAfee Antivirus.

I've used NoSpamToday with AVG and Avast before with no issues and searching the Internet hasn't turned up any examples of this problem with McAfee. I've trawled through the exe files associated with McAfee but none of them seem to work.

Is it some weird version of McAfee that is supplied on the Samsung?

Can anyone advise which exe file the spam filter needs to access for virus scanning?

    Thanks in advance.

I can't help you with your actual question, but why on earth do you want to use McAfee's it is a total resource hog and doesn't provide as good of protection as many of the others you've mentioned?

    I agree with Otacorb.

Go back to AVG, Avast or Avira. I use the latter because it has the smallest memory usage.

Sounds like good advice - I'm only using it because it was already installed.

    Cheers.

Well that is easy enough to fix? Uninstall works great, you may need to download that McAfee uninstaller to make sure it gets rid of everything. Sorry I don't have a link to it. But you know software isn't good when it requires a separate uninstall to truly wipe it off your system.

AVG is ok but Avira uses less memory and installs fewer background processes. That's why I recommend it.

AVG has an appalling detection rate. I tend to go with Avira although it doesn't have the closest to 100% protection rate, it is a firm choice and doesn't hog resources!

is the place to look for properly independent reviews on antivirus....most of the "comparison" sites are commission based so treat with care, where-as av comparatives is completely unbiased

I'm actually using Avast! on my main PC so I may switch to that for the Samsung as well.
