I do not think it is upgradeable easily. I asked around and no one would upgrade this. Unless you were a DYI person, and could open the case carefully and find an SSD that fits and is larger than go for it.

From what I have read the ones with SSD drives are tough to crack.

It's not difficult (but not as easy as with a normal notebook). You need a good Philips size 0 screwdriver and an mSATA SSD. See here and here.

    Okay... thanks guys!

EDIT: Oh, I wanted to ask about color. I know that Titan Silver is sort of blue (I think that's the one I saw at Best Buy) but what is Mineral Ash? Also, what is the name of the silver model?

    Thanks again...

The color you saw is Mineral Ash.

Really? Very confusing. What's the name of the silver version that you and I like?

And does Samsung have a color key somewhere on their site?

Many of the sales descriptions of the X4C (eg Amazon) call it titan silver when the true color (as described on the box label) is mineral ash black. Fortunately, the picture shows black.

We believe that the X4D is silver.

    A quick question about X4B:

Is X4B have a PLS display technology? Is the display comparable to 13" X3B (other than the brightness). Thanks a lot!!

Neither the X4B nor the newer X4C / X4D have a PLS display. However, the display is above average.

Would you say the display is on a par with the display in the 1st gen 13"? Although not PLS it is a very good display especially when calibrated.

I haven't seen the X3A display. It's better than my T420s and similar quality to the Samsung display in my Dell E6410. I have put a calibrated display profile in the X4C thread.

It's hard to compare a 13.3" 1366x768 screen to a 15" 1600x900 screen. Someone probably has technical data on both so you can compare color, contrast, brightness, white balance, etc. I'd say if you like the 3A screen, you'll be fine with the 15". The 15" is certainly above average.

Is it just me or is is the edge of the laptop a little too sharp? When I rest my hand to use the track pad it's slightly unconformable sometimes.

It is a squarish edge but I wouldn't call it sharp, perhaps because my forearms rest on the table and my palms on the palm rest so I don't normally touch the edge.
