I purchased a 14" Samsung 7 series at walmart last week, couldn't be happier. I'm just a bit baffled that i've had so much trouble finding much at all throughout the web on this specific model. Seems they only appear in websites outside the US, haven't been able to find any info or experience in these forums, and it isn't even listed on walmart's website. Anyone know why this would be? Anyone out there have this model? Or am I alone haha? Odd also, that when I google this same model, the only results (which again, are all outside US), all show a 1TB HDD, but the s03us model that I have, has only 750GB.

Anywho, for anyone interested, here is a little info on this model. Any questions, feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer!

Any particular reason you went with the S03 instead of the S0A?

I've been to 5 walmart's and none of them have this -____-
and they don't sell it online.
Thinking of just buying it from the Microsoft Store

What are the differences in the S0A? Honestly, I bought this on a whim. I didn't go out searching for one. I was in the market for a new laptop, and came across this at walmart when I wasn't even there looking for a laptop. Just happened to look and see this in a box, not even on display. And i got 6 months no interest financing with it.

Saucey, we have 6 walmart supercenters within a 30 mile radius of my house, all of which i frequent. Only the walmart closest to me had this in stock. Obviously not a common model. I might end up placing this in the marketplace if you are interest. I really only got it to play. I don't really even need it ;)

The S0A is the newest model of S04. From the S04, you have 1TB upgrade as from 750GB of the S04. Beside from that, it is still the same as other configuration. Also, in S0A, you will have the new Intel Wifi card which according to people, it is better that the Broadcom.

I just checked out the S0A. It appears to be the i7 + 1TB + 15.6 model, correct? If this is the case, I definitely would have still gone with the model that i ended up with over the S0A. I love the portability of the 14", and I assume the i5 model has better battery life than the i7. And I don't mind at all the 750 with 8GB EC.

Does the S0A and S04 have the 8GB expresscache?

S03, S04, S0A all have the EC. S04 is still 15" and S04 has i7 not i5. The battery is seems the same in every configuration. However, you get the better performance with the i7 and a little bit trade off for heat on that too. Also, S04 has only 6GB compare to 8GB ram on S0A, in which you have 4GB onboard and a 2GB stick.

P/s: Compare to my 17" HP, my Samsung screen is a little bit small, but due to that, it is more easily to carry arround. My opinion about 14" is not so much. I suggest you get ultrabook with that screen instead of this one. Many of the upcomming ultrabook are really on par with this, although you have to wait for a little bit if you can.

The 15.6" is still considered to be portable. 2.2kg only.
