    Hi ppl! :)

After installing Windows 8 through USB, my Samsung 700Z5A can't boot it. Someone went through the same problem?

I think if I install Windows 8 via DVD, will work. But I still have to test it.

    Yours faithfully,

Happened before with W7. It is because of the UEFI option in the BIOS. That why I did not bother to try USB even I had an USB ready to install W8.

guys what boot time do you have on windows 8 ? i upgraded to windows 8 with all apps and files, and boot time compared to win7 is very slow maybe more than 1minute. (win 7 took about 20-30seconds), everything else works great.

Check your Express Cache driver. I believe that the cause of this. Maybe when you used W7, you have EC working properly, but in W8, some people said there is no way to find out if EC is working or not because there is no option in the new Settings application. I'm currently using SSD so boot time won't be a matter to me. I suggest you buy an SSD when Black Friday because it will be cheap.

In new easy setting in windows 8 you see if express cache is working (there is only option for now to turn it off/on) as you can see here: Untitled-1.jpg , (it´s in slovak language), there is also way how you can find out if it is working through command line (it is posted in other thread). But this wasn´t problem. I did an upgrade, not the clean install and some of the processes/ services running on startup from previous windows cause this dont know exactly which i turn off more of these trough msconfig. so i dont recommend to others do an upgrade better do the clean install. And now w8 boot very quickly maybe about 15 seconds. if i will have some time I´ll do the clean install.

And SSD, i would love have some in my samsung but i need quite a lot of space for work and for example 512GB SSD is a lot of money.
