I just bought a samsung ativ smart PC XE500T1C.
After a few round of software update provided by samsung updating software, the device "HUAWEI MOBILE" was unable to use anymore.
Under the device manager, it is now in " Other Devices". And the most ridiculous thing is that this driver cannot be found in neither samsung website nor from samsung update program.
VID: 12D1, PID:1568
I have tried:
1) I have googled the above info, but i cant find the driver from the net or from huawei site.
2) Reset the tablet to default mode
Is anybody facing the same problem?
Does anyone know the solution or know where to download the driver?

Can you clarify: Is the Huawei 3G device built-in or is a plug-in USB dongle? If the latter, you can use the model number to search for a newer driver.
An alternative way of getting 3G connectivity is to use a MiFi device which also allows you to share one 3G connection with several wireless devices.

Thanks. It is the built-in. I spent extra $$ to get this 3G version. I have not get to use it for more than 1 week and its not working now due to SW Update by SAMSUNG. -

Thanks for the clarification. Try uninstalling the device in Device Manager and let Windows redetect the device. That sometimes fixes a driver configuration issue. Otherwise you will have to contact Samsung.

I've got the same issue with an EM820W upgraded to MBIM mode.
The MBIM mode can now be used only with Win8
But there is some hope, as that modem can be turned back to standard mode.
I'm still working on that, but things are promising.
I really would like to downgrade the modem to the standard mode, in order to use the modem with Win7, Linux and Android. -
Hello ,
I got it back to work. In fact it can work under WIN7 but I've successfully flashed it back to the standard mode.
