    Greetings;

    My laptop : Samsung NP700z5a-s03tr
    Core i7 2675-QM
    8GB RAM
    INTEL HD/ATI 6750M VGA

    I have 2 issues that i can't solve.

    Issue #1
    Reboots after BIOS Logo

When I tried to install a new operating system (Windows vista, 7, ubuntu, doesn't matter 32 bit, 64 bit) from usb stick, it doesn't boot up.

Laptop just reboot itself continuously. But when i install these operating systems from a cd / dvd everything works fine.

I tried to enable / disable achi options, yet cpu power saving & hyperthreading options and legacy usb ports, etc..

I also tried all of 3 usb ports..

I couldn't find an answer. Can someone told me : why this laptop does not let me to install a new operating system from usb ?
Actually it let me, but after installation completed and reboot happened,
    laptop continously reboots itself.

    Issue #2
I have a brightness issue @ windows 7 (home prem x32,x64, ultimate x32, 64 doesn't matter. encountered this problem in all of 4 versions i tried)

I install neccessary drivers from samsung web site. In device manager, everything seems ok (No exclamation marks on any icons)

but when i open windows mobility center (either using win-x or mblctr.exe)
and tried to change brightness from there by sliding brightness indicator,
    screen brightness change so laggy!

by saying laggy i mean : Changing brighness from 0% to 100% takes 2-3 seconds!

has anyone encountered with these problems and got a solution?

    If yes, please share :)

Laggy screen brightness change here too.

For the USB stick someone did have the same issue, but he manged to boot by twaeking BIOS setting. IIRC it should be S3 Wake Up.

Disabling S3 Wake Up From Windows Didn't Help me To Success Install OS From USB Stick.

Any Thoughts Why I Can't Install OS From USB Stick On Samsung Chronos 7

By the way, about the brightness lag issue I found my solution Instead of official driver pack.

With this driver, all mkv avi files are played smoothly, and i didn't had any problems with watching flash videos on web sites. Yet ATI 6750m is working when i run games. (I got high fps :) )

The games i tested so far :
Left For Dead 4, NFS, GRID, QUAKE4

    I downloaded a package : Catalyst_11.12_WHSQL_UnifL
You Can Search "Leshcat Labz" On Google To Download This Package.

Thanks for the link but i already read it.
My problem is not : "how to boot from usb"

I don't have any issues about booting from usb.
I can plug usb stick and install ubuntu, windows7, etc.. successfully.

However, once installation completed and laptop is restarted. it is supposed to run windows or linux right?

    my problem starts here.
laptop doesn't run anything after installation completed. it just repeatedly restart itself :(

Oops this issue was mentioned back in December by one of the users, but sadly no solution seems to have been found.

IIRC they said this issue exbihited itself if you restarted the S7. A workaround is to cold boot.

I wonder if the problem is that because the USB drive was present during installation then Windows treats it as part of the file system it expects to find when starting up. There might be a clue in the Boot.ini file or search the registry for the drive letter that Windows assigns to that USB drive.
