Can anyone post where driver files for Windows 7 would be for the N120? I see that Samsung's site has only drivers for XP listed. I'm interested in getting the trackpad scroll working as well as on screen display, etc.

Running Windows 7 official RTM on this system, by the way, and it's awesome.

Can somebody confirm what speed the memory runs at in the n120 , The Samsung website says DDR2 800mhz , but i have heard it is running at 667mhz.

I have a 2gb 667mhz cl4 sodimm , I just need to know will it slow the notebook down.

    Thanks.

Memory runs at 667. So it will not slow it down.

I just got a Samsung N120, it came with Samsung 1GB PC2-6400S-666, which is DDR2 800MHz RAM; I replaced it with Hynix 2GB PC2-6400S-666 and it works fine. Running Advanced SystemCare indicates that it is running at 533MHz

Why is everyone here so obsest with the N120?

I belive the NC20 is more neat, because of the 1280x800 resolution.

I can't speak for everyone else, but for me once I reach that size display, I want a dual core processor to go with it.

Nah, I'll stick to my N120 it is a GREAT compact setup for doing anything I need to do on the go. The resolution doesn't bother me one bit. It also cost less and last longer on battery. Nuff Said!

Ty OTACORB, I dont use the battery normaly and currently after a few hours working with the NC20, im really impressed. Only problem so far, ubuntu 9.04 can not be installed (Has no net remix 1280x800 support), but this is a ubuntu problem and i hope to be fixed soon.

The point is that make various models so that everyone can get what they want for their own particular needs and wants.

I don't like via chipsets and once you get beyond a 10" display you are beyond what netbooks are about in my opinion. If I am going to go to a 12" display then I want a processor and graphics chipset worthy of a 12" display.

Netbooks are meant to be portable, so I'd venture to say your the exception when it comes to battery. The N20 doesn't have terrible battery life, just not nearly as good as the N120.

Choice is good, I am glad you got what you like and delighted in what I have and feel the praise given to the N120 is because it is such a great little netbook.

N120 is the only netbook with 100% keyboard size. The only one.

    (not counting 11.6" screen netbooks)

Could anyone let me know about the build quality on the n120? Can it really take intensive use on the road?
I am trying to decide on the n120, the hp mini 5101 or the hp mini 311.
    Thanks!!!

I like the non glossy case and I find the build quality to be very good. I've taken mine on many trips and I've let family members use it from time to time, so its been well used. I know they are much harder on it than I am, but it has held up very well.

HP's don't have very good battery life!

I live in the UK. In the last 2 months my N120 has been taken to France and Spain. I am now into the 4th week of a trip to South Korea and Japan.
    It has performed faultlessly.
I use a ZeroShock case and put that in my backpack so it can be with me in the cabin when flying (less risk).
    I should say I am not a backpacker . I am a pensioner lol.
This is my 4th netbook and the best.

    Very useful comment!!!
It seems that it will definitely take the day-to-day use without any problem.
I will keep that in mind.
    Thanks again!!!
