I got this from a Samsung employee that has been a reliable source in the past.
That's all he wanted to say though. And "be patient".
-
mmm, dedicated graphics in a netbook sounds tasty
-
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
Good when it comes to innovation samsung is second to none lets hope its something like a 4330 or so.
-
Oh dear, please tell me it is a 10.2"!
-
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
id prefer a 12" netbook
-
I agree a 10.2" is what we need to have dedicated graphics, there are plenty of 12" notebooks out there with dedicated graphics. Though why not do both!
-
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
heh both? No problems here
The more choices the better

Jayayess1190 Waiting on Intel Cannonlake
Rumor has spread. In October with Windows 7, ready to battle the Lenovo S12?
-
Well that's definitely a rumor from a different source with more details, so good it looks like this is coming through.

Great news. Thanks for posting, once again.
-

-
Asus has a 1000H with ATI 3470 though. -

should I cancel my NC10 order?
-
What would be equivalent to this *without* dedicated graphics?
-

- Acer 751 has 11.6" screen and Z520 processor.
- Dell Mini 11 (coming July or August) uses Celeron/Pentium/Core ULV and GMA 4500.
- Acer Timeline 11.6 (coming July or August) using Celeron/Pentium/Core ULV and GMA 4500.
-
Thanks, Jay!
-
-
Yeah this looks good to me as well and if it is priced right I know I can sell my N120, I already have someone interested! -
The bezel looks tiny in this pic, below.
Is that accurate? Or just wishful thinking on my part?
-
Just found this link on SammyNetbook.

Edit: did some searching:

Can't buy this.. no more glossy screens.. i hate glossy screens
-
I prefer matte too, but the world is going glossy. -
My samsung tv is glossy.. it can get bad during the daytime hours.. After dealing with the dell studio xps13 screen.. the NC10 screen should be nice
-
FWIW, I went out of my way to buy a matte Samsung LCD TV last year. They did make a high end matte model special, so they apparently realize not everyone wants gloss. However, that doesn't seem to have trickled down to their netbooks.

A couple sites have put the MSRP at $799 which is insane if true. I know I wouldn't even consider one at that price. -
-
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
Stereo, $799? Normally samsung prices are a bit inflated at the beginning or sometimes the conversion is messed up and people assume its that high. For me im stronly feeling $699 for some reason. I just know by the time this comes out it will be priced RIGHT. -
Jayayess1190 Waiting on Intel Cannonlake
I have read this might be $600USD, $799 is the price converted from a European currency.
-
-
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
I knew that was priced too high plus samsung is obviously aiming at all the other 11.6" netbooks so im sure they though about the price before hand. -
Does not really matter how much it costs.. it has a glossy screen right?
-

Wonder if this will get upgraded to Ion 2 soon?
-
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
!! Wait, they already said it was coming out later in the year maybe this is a reality? Stay tuned
-
Speculation: I think ION 2 is first focused at nettops. I don't think will be getting ION 2 netbooks this year.
-
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
They still are doing the nettop thing? I thought that was a flop?
-
This one is pretty cool imo: http://www.asrock.com/nettop/spec/ION 330.asp -
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
....Wow! That actually looks pretty sweet compared to the 1st nettop's with the ION
this can't be right, one source is claiming that the N510 is coming out...like today?
http://www.netbookchoice.com/2009/06/27/samsung-n510-ion-powered-11-6-inch-netbook/ -
As far as I know it is scheduled for July 2009. So that would well on time.
-
I'm guessing Nvidia hasn't resolved the 'Mobo+$chipset cheaper' < '$Mobo' that Intel is doing?
-
-
-
I don't mind a glossy sceen either, as long as it's bright enough though.
-
-
Yes both. When ever I see a computer store I can't resist to walk inside.
My opinion: They're ok displays. Bright enough for normal use. Too reflective and not bright enough for outside with sunshine use. The both have very narrow vertical viewing angles though. -
I also agree with your assessment on the display on both these models. I appreciate the response, I enjoy reading others views on these things.
It would be nice if this newer model did have better view angles and I wouldn't mind it even being just a tad bit brighter.
