    Hi

When I press the battery test function the battery LED's flash twice and only show LED 1-3-5, is this a symptom of a failing battery?

I didn't know that any Samsung notebooks had diagnostic LEDs on their batteries. Try running the battery calibration utility in the BIOS.

The battery shown is NOT the one with the fault.

I have tried using the calibration utility, all it did was drain the battery. After a full charge I still get the LED's flashing when I push the test button. I guess the battery is toast.
