    Hi,
I just get a Samsung NP700Z5A-A01DX with new system (Windows 7 Home Premium), but without any drivers (also no recovery etc.) and my problem is, that system cant detected Radeon 6750m card. In "Device Manager" > "display adapters" I have only Intel HD Graphic Family, no mark of Radeon:/ I already install all drivers from Samsung WWW - only Radeon drivers wont install - show problem with installation (i think becouse it cant be recognized). Two days ago on old system everything works fine. can someone has that problem? or can help me with this?

    all the best

Hi oro, welcome to NBR and the Samsung forum,

Samsung have not post updated drivers on their website for several years now. You have to use a software tool called SW Update to pull them from a database. Use this Samsung site.

On your model, the switchable AMD graphics doesn't always work with regular AMD drivers. The graphics driver package from Samsung (in SW Update) contains both Intel HD3000 and AMD drivers, with the working switchability. However, that driver is quite old. If you decide to experiment with newer AMD drivers and they don't work, you can Google LeeKM's modified drivers. He is another NBR member who modifies pure AMD (and Nvidia) drivers so they work with switchable graphics.

Dannemand, thanks for Your quick reply.
I do the steps, as You say, but still im not sure if is everything allright. In Device Manager sill I have only one graphic card HD Graphic Family, it is correct? I shouldnt have both graphic card in this view? and what about screen resolution? - for now I can use maximum 1600x900 shouldnt be more?
If I understand, i cant use "catalyst option" on this notebook?
p.s. sorry for my english ;)

Install both the Intel and AMD graphics drivers you can get for your notebook using SW Update.

Then run a graphics benchmark and see if you can get the performance expected of the AMD GPU.

Your English is fine, don't worry about that :)

Max resolution of your screen is 1600x900, so that is correct. But you should see both Display Adapters in Device Manager: Intel HD3000 and AMD 6750m (or just the family name, as John said). That's how it works in my NP700Z3A (very similar to yours) although we have gotten mixed reports about it in the case of NP700Z5A.

Once again, the (rather old) AMD driver package in SW update for your model contains drivers for both the Intel and the AMD, along with the switcheroo stuff.

Try uninstalling any existing display drivers you have installed (through Windows Programs & Features control panel), reboot, then install ONLY the one AMD driver from SW Update. See if that doesn't solve it.

This post talks more about how to verify that the AMD is working.

If the AMD still doesn't show up, I'd say it sounds like something deeper is wrong. If this is a new installation (as opposed to the original Samsung installation) then try installing again, using the exact steps in this Win7 install guide. Don't forget the chipset driver from SW Update.
