Hello,
This is my first post here and hopefully someone will be able to help me out.
I did a factory restore from the recovery solution partition and reset the bios back to factory defaults.
I have sleep disables in the power manager and hibernate disabled through CMD. When I leave the laptop to just sit for a while it still goes to sleep. I am unable to wake it from anything and my last resort is pressing the power button for a split second. When I do this the computer instantly does a hard shutdown. Upon pressing the power button to turn the laptop on I am greeted with a screen that computer was not shutdown properly and if I would like to start in safe mode or safe mode with network etc. Regardless of which option I choose once windows 7 boots up the little symbol for looking for wifi comes on for a second or two and after shows the Ethernet cable not plugged in symbol and all of my network adapters are gone in both device manager and network adapter properties. Once this happens I tried to plug in a USB mouse and it would not even recognize that new hardware is even plugged in.
My model has the NVidia dedicated gpu. It has the expresscache 8gb issd but it does not seem to be working properly either.
I am running the latest version of bios.
I have copied the original HDD to a SSD using the seagare acronis program that comes with hiren boot cd.
I am able to swap the SDD for the HDD and the network and everything works so it is not the hardware. I am also able to restore the OS on the SSD using the recovery partition and when it is back to the original Samsung image everything works good (except expresscache) until the computer goes to sleep at which point the process repeats.
