    Hi,
I am an owner of Samsung Q210 notebook pc and as it goes for hardware, I am quite pleased with it. Fortunately there isn't a lot of Samusung inside - even lcd matrix and HDD are from different vendors - and that is a big plus for me. The only problem I found with it is OS - dreaded Vista home premium.
Like every sane person, I have replaced it with Ubuntu 8.10, but unfortunately it lacks some features that are essential for battery life, and the answer for such problem is to submit an idea on Ubuntu brainstorm. Now to make it reality in next version of Ubuntu distribution I need votes for my idea to implement functionalities such as full network adapter power off, backlight calibration etc.
I would be grateful for every suggestion concerning enabling FN keys and power off features or a vote on ubuntu brainstorm which would result in full support for Q series in the future.

    Hi.

Windows OS`s have 90% of the market, and we are Insane, Linux is only 0.83%

Well everybody has the right to be masochistic, but go on, try to play with Oracle on windows based machine - especially with vista - no decent business upgraded to that system. And quoting market share to prove quality of a product is pointless, it only shows how blindfolded people are - "I've got it with one os from vendor and I can't do anything about it".
