    Hi

I have been doing some testing with my new Q310 and the WiFi connection toggleing on and off.

My job requires me to fly quite a lot, and I sometimes like to use my Laptop to watch movies on the plane.

In this circumstances I would need to turn off my WiFi on the computer, so I thought I would test it out.

I used the "Fn+F9" combination to turn off Wireless LAN, which was confirmed by the fact that I could no longer find the WiFi network I am currently connected to.

However, upon restarting the computer, I found that the WiFi had re-enabled itself.

And I also noticed that there was no way to turn off the Bluetooth connectivity.

Is there anyway I can disable these functions before leaving my house, short of disabling them in Device Manager?

    Thanks

    Stu

Yep that was it. You can set it to always on, always off, or remember last setting!

    Thanks for your help.

Still no way to disable bluetooth though?

Try the BTonoff utility which worked for the Q45.

Thanks for that John, it works on the Q310 too, although the first time you run it, it doesn't work, but Vista applies compatability settings to it and it runs ok!

You need to do 2x "Allows" in UAC though!!

    Thanks Again!
