    Hi,

I've just replaced the keyboard (complete top unit) on my Samsung Q330 which has cured the problem with some of the keys not working, but has generated a problem with the trackpad which appears to the permantly active and selects whatever the cursor is resting on.

All works fine with a USB mouse, but would like the trackpad as an option.

Anyone any ideas if this is a hardware problem (send keyboard unit back to supplier) or software related? I've got a clean install of Win 7 (64 bit) and working through the drivers from the Samsung UK site.

    Thanks

    Tim

Have you installed the various Samsung software packages as well as the drivers? I would start with Easy Display Manager.

Is there a Fn + F? shortcut to turn the touchpad on and off?

Some of them and certainly Easy Display Manager as I needed to install that to update the BIOS.

I'll try the others and will have a play about with the sensitivity settings over the weekend and see where that gets me!

Very curious - somewhere in the updated Synaptics Driver, windows updates various and several reboots, it fixed itself and the touchpad is now working perfectly!

I wish I could say what solved it, but I was using an external USB mouse to get the updates installed and when I next tried the touchpad, it was fine!

    Not complaining though!!!
