Hi all, new to this site and after having no help from Samsung i found this forum so here it goes....... i have an r2o plus, dropped it few weeks back and had screen replaced, all was working well until 2 weeks later i shut it down one night and it has not started up since, no power up, the laptop wont switch on at all, have had the hard drive checked and that's fine. Im not in a position financially to send it to Samsung for repairs, was hopeing someone on here may be able to tell me if they have any ideas as to why its not powering up.

Any replies would be greatly received.

I suppose you have done the old remove the battery and mains power and then hold the power button down for 20 seconds.

Try removing the RAM modules and then replace them one at a time. Sometimes the contacts oxidise with time and removal / replacement cleans them up. If the computer can't find the RAM then the boot process stops.

If not the RAM, then it is very difficult to diagnose the problem from a distance.
