    Hi,
I've had my R480 for about a month now. Up until yesterday I had been watching videos on my Samsung tv with video and audio working fine through my HDMI cable. Then I tried playing a video and the audio wasn't coming out of the tv anymore. I've looked everywhere I can think of. Digital audio option has completely vanished from my playback options, all my drivers are up to date, I've tried different inputs on the tv, even switched the cable... I'm at a loss.

Anyone have any experience with this? I'm very frustrasted/annoyed...

    Thanks in advance!

Does the R480 use the Realtek audio? If so, did you find the output options on the Realtek audio control panel.

It does for analog, but the digital goes through the nVidia. I fixed it though, just ran a system restore to a couple days ago. Strange, wish I knew what happened.

I'm having this exact same problem. Just got the laptop about 6 days ago, and on the first day I plugged it into my Samsumg TV via hdmi and it worked fine. Just tried it today, and the picture is there but audio only comes out of the PC speakers! Anyone have a similar issue with the R480?? How did you fix it?
    Thanks!

Hey Dave, read my post above. I just resored it to a couple days before and it seems to fix the problem.
