    Hi guys...

I was using Vista 64x before on my Dell XPS 1330 which i got stolen GRRR, and now using this piece of hardware, id like to use the whole power. But Samsung doest not support this platform for now and has not forecast to. Looking around for some drivers i did manage to gathering some of them to make it runs into the 64x platform and up to today its working fine with just some glishes, somegreat piace with 64x you can use the whole 4gbs and you will also get some improvements on other software specially on that one designed to 64x of course.

My intentions is not to discus which is better vista 64x or vista 32x. Im just doing it because for my personal view vista 64x is better, more secure and snappier.

ATTENTION - Those drivers are not supported by Samsung so install on your own risk.

Note some drive back that i found
I still have a problem with "Fn" shortcuts - PLEASE I NEED HELP WITH IT
    backlight balance
volume control (Now working for any reason -29-12-08)
Fn (right button) (Now working for any reason -29-12-08)
    on/off wireless
There are 2 drivers in device manager - SM BUS CONTROLLER and something else (i dont know)
Windows Font - its a quite different i dont know how to explain.. not annoying though

they are not working, at least for now... all others are doing fine. but the REAL drive back are the volume/backlight control - which is destroying my eyes..

    WORKING FINE

    Webcan
    Usbs
    Wire network
    wireless network
    Bluetooth
Modem (anyone cares?? ididnt works but its installed fine)
    Sound - Mic as well
    Video card

    -----
    What I dont know
The Modem seen to work fine because the drivers were made for 64x but didnt test
Memory card slots, i have not clue about installations.. i dont have a mamory card to test
PCE didnt same as above.. i dont have any card to test.

    -----------------------

The following drivers were found at the brand manufacturers, if the drive is not listed is because Vista install by itself

Video Card - http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/ (181.00 Vista 64bit - 2008-12-15) this version is working great for me

Anyone more experienced with 64x platforms that can help to make this 100% compatible

    Hi,

Till today, everything seem to be installed fine but today, I tried to send a fax using the built in Agere Modem and my phone line but the fax service gave me error that there is no dialtone.

After that I tried to make a dial up connection just to test it, but every time, the modem gave some cracky noise and the dial tone was not there..

Can anyone using Vista x64 with R560 please confirm that their modems are working fine? Please, I need to know if there is a problem with hardware or is it just not working under 64 bit..

By the way, I tried to query modem, under device manager, agere modem advanced page and it gives no errors at all, everything succeeded.

    Thanks in advance!

    Andac
