I've noticed that the Samsung drivers/software updates do not get updated from the Recovery window. When you click on the update button it says all the software is updated but that is not the case. I found myself updating several of them manually last night. And some of the MS Hotfix Common KR reports installed where others did not as they were already updated. Its a real mix on what is really needed.

Has anyone else run into this issue with the Samsung Recovery Center utility?

By the way, if anyone could give me a clue as to how to decide which of the drivers on the Samsung site I need to install, it would be MUCH appreciated. I can't decipher any of it...

Looking at the list here, the two main categories are Windows 7 and Windows XP. The only places where you need to check your hardware in Device Manager are the choice of Realtek or Atheros wireless (WLAN) and whether you have Bluetooth and Turbo Memory.

By the way, loving my Canadian i5 R480. Quick, cool, powerful, quiet, and pretty. Only quibbles are the bilingual keyboard and the stupid Windows 32-bit.
