    The title says it all.

2 or 3 days ago I updated my graphics software by an update recommended by a program called "Samsung Update Plus" or whatever, anyway, I did not download it from the site itself - I did it via this program.

Of course, like after every update, I restarted my notebook. The resolution is now impossible to change from 1024 x 768, 32-bit to any bigger - and my notebook supported 1366 x 768, 64-bit.

Tell me what to do guys, I really need help with this!

    Thanks in advance :)

Somewhere in the display properties should be a check box for "Hide Modes that this Monitor Cannot Display". Make sure it is not selected.

You can also try removing the monitor in Device Manager and then rebooting. This may redetect the display with the right properties.

Thanks for your help, checked the first advice and it's OK, UNchecked. ;)

If you kindly (^^) could, be more precise about the second one, will you? I just ain't sure if I know what you're talking about

Also, my Update History in 'Samsung Update Plus' doesn't show that I installed something new for nVidia

Go to My Computer > Properties > Device Manager > Monitors. Then uninstall whatever is listed in the monitor category. Then let the computer shut down and restart. It will redetect the monitor and, hopefully, get the resolution correct.

If that doesn't work then I would reinstall the graphics driver.

Which version of Windows are you running? I had a recent issue with Windows 7 when it temporarily wasn't getting the resolution of an external monitor correct. However, in this case hibernation + resume cleared the glitch.

I'm also running Win 7. If the hibernation helped, I'll try it right away.

And thanks, one more time, for precise advices.

After all, I finally have what I wanted, thank you John :)
