Hi, how do I check I have a hybrid drive in my system?
I am checking my device manager and under disk drives it states FUJITSU MHW2160BH PL ATA Device.
It doesn't seem to be a hybrid drive?!?! Can anyone confirm how I check? I am scared the salesperson told me a lie!

Hybrid drives are conventional hard drives working in unison with on-board flash memory; but the hard drive still uses an ATA interface to transfer data. You can always check by opening up the HDD compartment.

As far as I know, Samsung have not offered a hybrid HDD with the R70. See here for details of the Samsung HDDs. In reality this first generation of hybrid HDDs has not provided big benefits, perhaps because of limited on-board RAM, so you are not missing much.

Interesting re the hybrid HDD in the Hong Kong R70. The UK R70s have a lower spec (eg only 8400M GS) and are now overpriced for the offered spec. They were very good value when they came out but 6 months is a long time in the computer market.
