Hey guys, remember how i wanted to do a clean boot? Well before I did anything i just shut down my laptop properly. When I turn it on, it is stuck on the Samsung screen for awhile, the setup or recovery doesn't work anymore. I tried to boot up and Win 7 disc and that didn't happen. I don't think my bios is the problem, because i have been getting some messages about harddrive data corruption and i should back things up before I turned my laptop off. So what do I do? Should I take it in to the store?

Pressing F4 at the BIOS screen should get you in to the Samsung Recovery system. However, since the HDD health is questionable I would first get a 2.5" HDD enclosure with USB connector, remove the HDD from R780 and put into the enclosure and see if the HDD is readable in another computer. If so, you may be able to recover your user files. A good computer store could do this for you but some may try to restore the OS without taking that precaution.
