I have a Samsung R780 JS05UK laptop. It was shipped with Windows 7, however since upgrading to Windows 8 i have lost some of the touch pad controls. One of which is being able to turn off the double tap on the touch pad.

Anyone know how to get the functions control back that i used to have.

    Thanks
    Dave

Do you mean double-tap or two-finger tap? The latter is a standard option in the touchpad control panel.

Or you can try using the alternative pad control panel called "ETDAniConf.exe". It is not installed but is available in the installation package which you can download using SW Update.

I would also note that Samsung have fiddled with various pad settings in updates to the driver. Version 11.7.15.3 is currently my preference. You should be able to find it by looking through the SW Update database, or just try anything else that is newer than your current version.

Use the SW Update software to download ("export") the Touchpad driver package (a zip file) onto your computer. Then copy ETDAniConf.exe from the X64 folder to somewhere else. Then run it.

No, you use SW Update to download and save the touchpad installation package on your computer. ETDAniConf.exe can be found inside that package.
