    Hi

I have a problem with my wireless on my laptop. I cannot get the speeds faster than 65Mbps even if I'm sitting right next to it. I have downloaded the latest drivers but nothing seems to work. I have tried different routers as well. On my dads laptop the Samsung R580 he gets speeds up to 130Mbps.

What could the problem be? I am out of ideas.

    Current setup
Wireless card - Broadband 802.11n Network Adapter.
    Router - Netgear DGN3500

There are many variables that affect WiFi performance. What is the make of the WiFi adapters in both laptops? (Look in Device Manager). Make sure that your driver is up-to-date.

Try the drivers from IntelĀ® Driver Update Utility I got much newer wifi drivers from Intel Driver Utility than were on offer from Samsung.

Also this might sound a little stupid, but in another forum a guy who had the same symptoms with his laptops wifi, found upon opening up the bottom of his laptop that the wires to his wifi card were loose and once connected properly the issue was resolved.
