I just bought a Samsung RF511-S03US from Costco. It's running Windows 7 Home Premium. Sometime between then and now I managed to screw up the CAPS LOCK key. Today, when I press the CAPS LOCK key it triggers the DVD to eject; even displaying the "Eject ODD" pop-up.
I was trying to turn off the CAPS LOCK in the registry. I apparently succeeded.![]()
Resetting the registry setting does nothing; and I now suspect I accidentally changed a hot-key somewhere. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions of places to look? I am, typically, competent with computers. Only incompetent (obviously) with Windows.![]()
Thanks for any help.

Well, I changed what I was looking for and quickly found some answers. It appears when the Caps Lock key is removed the Samsung keyboard is set up to perform the "Eject ODD" function. I'd like to curse someone for being stupid; however, I don't yet know who to cast the curse at.
At least one person online suggested changing the function to be simply SHIFT as a cure. Not the cure I was hoping for; however, far better than chuckin-a-wobbly every time I accidentally open the DVD. -
As an aid for anyone else who discovers this issue; here are some links which will help with the effort of remapping the Caps Lock key.

BTW - Either reboot or, better, logout of Windows 7 to activate the changes outlined on these sites.
