Yesterday I was messing around with my Series 5, and eventually I needed to do an image recovery. That's when I found out and error: started thecomputer, pressed F4, the samsung recovery screen appeared. But it stood there for a couple of minutes, and ended up showing me a message that it couldn't access a file, something like WINCLON\Manager1.exe (search the web, a lot of people have the same problem)... I think it's related to having tried a live OS (Ubuntu) on a pen, messed up my boot partition and MBR, maybe.
Luckily I had made a system and recovery partitions image clone, with clonezilla. Recovered them both, and it start working.

But while I was investigating the problem, discoved a hidden menu in Samsung Recovery: when it started, press CRTL+ALT+F10. It will ask for a password, its: SECCLX

Then it will take you to an menu with lots and lots of options, but I haven't had the time to see them all.

I take no responsability for whatever you do with this info or if you damage your partitions! If you don't have enough computer knowledge, don't use this!!

Dude this above, plus this below

kind of contradict each other, no offence intended.

Before you shoot a round across my bow, the only reason I'm here is because I don't have all the computer knowledge I need.

    No offense taken.

But I do not see why they contradict each other... I was not messing around with this hack I mentioned. I was messing with a live OS from a USB pen, nothing to do with this... When I have a computer, I like to try other softwares and tools, not just leave it like it came from factory. Of course, the risk of getting somethin wrong in the process is greater. Like we say in my country: you only get wet if you go out during the rain.

Actually, this hack I mention provides tools and options to backup and recover that aren't available with normal usage. And for those who like to try other software, etc, and that includes LEARNING, it may prove as a great tool to prevent OS disruption (can't find the correct word for this...). You can enter it and see it's options without a problem. You only have to be carefull when workin with it, but I'm sure that if you search the web there are pages where they teach to work with this.

And I don't think it takes a diccionary to understand what I meant, I don't speak English natively, so the words I used might not be the correct ones, but anyone who understands English know what I meant...

It should have been better if I wrote: Here's the hack... Use it at your own risk. That way, I really wouldn't confuse anyone with this post.

If I use your own words, then I can also assume that you are in this forum ONLY to read and learn, NOT to contribute with anything. I already contributed a lot, and still plan to do.

So, long story short: Here is the hack, you think you can use it? Want to try? Go ahead, but I take no responsability, as in every hack you find on the internet (even a simple crack for a software is a risk to use). Don't want to use? Fine, then don't!
