    Hi All,
Am trying to upgrade my laptop to Windows 10 but am having problems to uninstall the Samsung Recovery Solution. Its telling the partition is corrupt and I must use the diskpart tool. How does it work?

You should post in the Samsung section, mod John Ratsey moderates that section and he knows a lot about Samsung notebooks.

A few recover partition threads in the search below.

If you just want to remove/resize the recovery partition now that it is corrupt, you can use the free partition wizard i have been using the free version for years, install the software it will let you create an boot dvd if you have problems deleting/adjusting the size in windows.

I've moved this to the Samsung forum where there are several threads about SRS including this recent one relating to SRS and Windows 10.

Samsung Recovery Solution (SRS) lives on its own Recovery Partition, and installing a newer Windows version generally breaks it. We saw that too with Win7 models when users installed Win8/8.1.

Member @Gulfmaster created the guide linked below on how to re-create SRS6 along with Win10. His thread is now our main resource on that, and we added it to the Samsung Forum sticky list.

Guide: Samsung Recovery Solution 6 (SRS6) and Windows 10

Beyond that we have the guide and thread linked below, which is our general resource on SRS, including versions earlier than SRS6.

Backing up and re-creating Samsung Recovery Solution

If your model came with an earlier version of SRS, you will need to download an Admin Tool for the newer version (link in that last guide).

@Tinderbox: Thank you for sharing that link. That procedure (and more) is covered extensively in the guide I linked and several other threads in the Samsung forum.

The problem is it requires that you have working SRS in order to create the Admin Tool - and users generally come here after having lost their SRS one way or another. Member @dosibox shared Admin Tool ISOs for various SRS versions (his post is in that thread and linked in the guide) which is an invaluable help in those situations.

In other words, I believe users will find NBR to be one of the most exhaustive resources available on the subject of SRS. No need to go anywhere else
