My wife's machine tanked so i have been on a crusade to fix it. It is a NP-Q70 she bought in New Zealand - but was manufactured in China. It is similar in drivers to that of the NP-Q45 so much so that users have been known to swap them. I can install Win7 without fail - but her external devices are not Win7 friendly. I do not have the original install discs and am in the USA, so Samsung will not help me - anyone have the SATA drivers or know where i can get them? I have contacted Samsung support but due to the area difference they said they could not help me and i can not get the replacement reinstall CD's as they are from China and web service to them has been blocked. Any suggestions?

See SamsungPC. It's the old Samsung UK driver site that, fortunately, has not been closed. Also see my reply to your other post about the SATA driver.

You may also discover that the original birthday image is sitting on the hard drive (if it is the original HDD). Try pressing F4 while the BIOS screen is showing.
