    Hello all,

I've been searching the forums to see if there are any threads regarding the newest Samsung Series 3 NP350U2B-A01 with the 12.5" display with no luck.

If you own one, what are your thoughts? Pros and cons? Battery life? I've been contemplating about purchasing this and any input would help me as well as others thinking about purchasing this beautiful laptop as well.

    Thanks!

There are quite a few reviews on Amazon and people seem to like it a lot.

I am waiting for the price to go down to $699 again on the Toshiba Portege r835-p81, but if it doesn't, I'll probably get this 12.5" Sammy

For about 5 weeks I've been using this notebook and I'm really happy with it. On my first day I replaced the hdd with an intel 510 series 120gb ssd and installed 64x win7 pro. I mostly used latest drivers from Intel's site and as samsung utility I only installed "samsung control center" in order to enable fn buttons etc.

With this configuration I'm quite happy and I can run all the programs I need without any problem. Photoshop CS5, Traktor Pro, all office apps. and all kinds of web programming tools.

Soon I'll try a single 8gb memory module instead of the 4gb module.

I also tested the performance with pcmark07 and as result I got 3797 which is the 3th best score with the i5 2430m processor so far according to the uploaded scores.

About the battery, I use it at %80 (battery optimizer allows %80 charge in order to extend the life of the battery, which can be enabled in bios or via samsung control center appl. ) and with ssd the battery life is around 4,5h-5,5h. according to the appls. that I use. (~%50 display brightness, Wireless enabled, Bluetooth disabled, cpu power saving mode enabled in bios)

Need some advice. I just bought a Universal notebook charger for my Samsung Series 3 NP350 notebook. On the charger it says 65W 19V-3.42A but on my notebook it oddly says 60W 19V -3.16.

Will this fry my notebook’s motherboard?

The computer will only use the power that it needs (most of the time nearer 20W than 60W). So 65W is no problem.
