    Hello.
My first post in this forum, about my first laptop. :)

I bought a Samsung NP530U4C-S02PT (Portugal), and I'm really pleased with it. It has a iSSD (for ExpressCache) of 24 Gb and 8 Gb of RAM (these are the most important specs for my post).
The thing is, I can't get the Intel Rapid Start to work! It has the hibernate partition in the iSSD, BUT it has only 6 Gb!! It needs to be at least the size of the RAM in order to work. I think this is because this model is the second version of NP530U4C, the first (S01PT) had 6 Gb of RAM. They probably loaded the same image software in the second version as in the first version...
I already managed (installing and uninstalling IRST, enabling/disabling iSSD hibernate partition) to eliminate that partition, and again recreating it! But it always goes for the 6 Gb... I have the most recente BIOS version and software, made a recovery instalation and the same happens... Today maybe I'll try to use the recovery DVD, because I think it has only the OS, without all the Samsung software and setting, and see if the 8 Gb hibernate partition is created, and not the 6 Gb...
If you happen to know other way to "cheat" or increase the partition size, I'll give it a go.

Thanks for all the help you can give me, you have no ideia of the time I already spent with it trying to fix that. :)

Have you worked through the possible actions listed in this thread? However, that doesn't cover the iSSD option. Also, have you run the Samsung BIOS updater to check if you have the latest BIOS?

Yes, some of them. When I get home I will try the one enabling the Defrag service... I already have the latest BIOS (6), but still the same.
I'll follow the other thread, I've posted a request there for you. Despite being a Series 9 thread, it's the same issue with IRST...
