    Hi

I just bought a new NP550P5C-S03IN(Identical Specs to: https://samsungindiaestore.com/Products/Laptops/NP550P5C-S05IN_NP550P5C-S05IN) about~1 month ago and ever since it came ive been plagued by Wifi Issues.

Mine came with Windows 8 and in the first week i updated to the Intel Wifi Drivers + PROSet S/w from the intel site but that just caused me a bluescreen ever 30 mins so i reinstalled the old drivers.

Recently ive got ~6 bluescreens related to the driver power state failure i.e the laptop doesnt shut down for atleast 10mins and on the next boot i get the error.
Also on and off the Wifi just stops working ( Cant discover n/w etc etc ) and only a reboot fixes it but this reboot inevitably causes aforementioned bluescreen.
Also i seem to have next to zero bluetooth functionality, as i can only recieve certain files but i cannot send nor sync with my phone via bluetooth(for music)

This is definitely a poor implementation of drivers on Samsung's part but my question is this:
1)Can i Install the Non-Samsung drivers from the manufactures site themselves ? ( So far ive abstained due to fear of more errors/bluescreens)
2)Should i install just the drivers( the non PROset one) from the Intel Website for the Wifi Adapter

Any help with the Wifi Driver Issue would be appreciated
    Thanks

I would try the latest Intel driver. You could backup your system before trying it so you can rollback if things get even worse.

I would recommend downloading the driver-only package from Intel's website (*ds64.exe).

But before you install it, make sure you uninstall the current device and driver, both in device manager (delete the device) and in the Windows Programs and Features control panel. The goal is to get rid of the registry entry for the current device before installing the new driver.

    Hope that helps.
