    Hey guys.
Series 7 and 9 isn't available here yet, the latest releases being series 5 np550p5c so1 and so2IN.
    Config- i5/i7, 6gb/8gb ,2gb ddr3 650M , 1tb, JBL speakers, 5800rpm hdd, no ssd, the i7 one has bluray on it.

Anyway, the issue with these laptops being the apparent throttling.
Using throttlestop is one workaround, but is there any other solution for it?
    We've been given a 90w adapter, would using a 120w help?

Run HWiNFO and enable sensors. This will show temperatures - CPU temperatures over 95C will trigger throttling. HWiNFO may also help you understand what is throttling when, with another factor in CPU throttling being the overall CPU power consumption having to remain within the design envelope so the more cores of the CPU that are loaded then the lower the speed at which they can run.
