I know there is another thread that discusses this but it seems to have shifted towards discussing bandwidth and throughput, so I'm starting a new one here.

I have upgraded my Series 7 Chronos (the US version) to the Intel 6230 Wifi card. I cannot get Bluetooth to work. I have read and tried everything I can find. No matter what I do, it will not show up in Device Manager and Easy Settings will not recognize it. Here are things I have tried:

    1. Before installing the card, I uninstalled the Broadcomm and Widcomm drivers and software.
    2. After installing, I installed the Intel Wifi and Bluetooth drivers from the Samsung site.
    3. That didn't work, so I uninstalled them and tried installing drivers from the Intel site.
    4. I've tried various combinations of installing in different sequences.

Nothing seems to work. Note: I have the most current BIOS already installed.

One thing I've noted is that at least one poster who said they got it to work was referencing a version 14 Intel driver. The most current is version 15. I can't imagine that would make a difference, but it's possible I guess. Not sure how I could test it, though, since I can't find the earlier driver.

    Any thoughts?

    Two thoughts:

    1. Is there a hot key to enable / disable wireless devices. Make sure it is on.

    2. Is there any switch in the BIOS?

I'm already on the 10FD BIOS. No hotkeys or switches of which I'm aware.

Well, good news. The 11FD BIOS update seems to have fixed it.

I also have a Samsung Serie 7 Chronos that i bought in UK and I recently realized that the bluetooth device doesn't appear anymore in the system. I can't connect any bluetooth device anymore, and it became impossible to activate the bluetooth, it has even disappeared from the windows device manager.
I was thinking of a hardware failure, but it's quite hard to believe as the computer is just about 6 months old.
I have no idea on how to solve the problem.

You probably already checked this, but just in case: If Bluetooth is disabled on the Wireless Network tab in Easy Settings (or Settings if you use Win8) the device will be powered off completely and not show up in Device Manager or elsewhere.

If you haven't already, it may be worth checking if Bluetooth somehow got disabled in there.
