    Hi Everyone

I have a broken screen and am trying to find a replacement. Laptopscreens.com shows out of stock and i had no luck finding one from eBay in US. Anyone hada similar experience and perhaps knows the screen model number?

Did you have any luck finding a replacement? I have a S7 Chronos and I'm thinking about replacing my perfectly good 1600x900 LCD with a 1920 x 1080 panel (or a 1920 x 1200 if I can find one). It looks like it may be very difficult to remove and replace that screen surround "frame" over the bezel since it's already glued in place. The screen teardown thread that I saw made it look like it might be very hard to remove and replace that piece without it being apparent that the machine had been reassembled.

How did the process work out for you?

Did you ever go through with your plan? I am looking for a replacement screen for my computer after having stepped on it (ouch...) last night. I can use your old screen if you have it lying around.

I had to replace the broken screen on my NP700Z5A. I would not recommend it unless absolutely necessary. In order to remove the screen the stainless steel border with the samsung logo and the cover for the webcam and ambient light detector must be mangled beyond recognition. If anyone wants to know how to get the screen out, I could provide instruction but until asked I'm not going to bother.

If anyone knows where I could find the aforementioned border or the adhesive used to fasten it to the screen I would be much obliged.

As you have discovered, these displays are glued together because there is insufficient thickness for screws.

Have a look through the stock list at samsungparts.com. Once you have decided what the part number is (possibly BA75-03345A) then you can Google that number for other sources of the part. I think you will find that the adhesive is pre-applied.

Did you used hot air for removing glued bezel?
