Hey guys, lately I have had some weird problem with my SS9 13", Wins 8, 128gb ssd, 4gb ram, ivy i5. So the problem is that everytime I plug in the charger to my laptop and touch the trackpad near the midpoint, the cursor jumps around crazily with dragging and clicking everything randomly. However, if I unplug the charger, it becomes normal. It didn't happen when I first purchased it. I had ELAN driver 11.7.4.3 for my machine. I wonder how I could fix this problem

    Any opinion please?
    Thanks

Sounds like a grounding issue. Are you using the original Samsung adapter, or any different adapters (e.g. a plug converter, connected through an extension cord)?

I'm using the original Samsung charger that came with it. So I'm not sure where the problem is...

Are you getting this problem when plugged into sockets in different buildings? That would exclude the possibility of bad grounding in one building (if the grounding isn't good then any voltage leakage from one piece of connected equipment will affect all other connected equipment).

I haven't tested with different outputs beside those in my house, which cause the same problem. However, I noticed something weird: with the cursor jumping around when being plugged in, if I put my palms on the laptop causing some pressures near the trackpad, the cursor becomes like normal when being unplugged!

    Any advice please?
    Thanks

Perhaps when you put your palms on the palm rest you are grounding the stray voltage that is upsetting the trackpad.

Do you have a mains testing screwdriver? If so, check (i) the ground contact in one of your power outlets then (ii) the outside of the DC power plug. Alternatively, do you have a mains plug adapter which does not include the ground connector and then use that to plug your computer into the mains?
