This is my first post on this forum, so I hope this post is in the right place.
It is hard to believe that Samsung sold the great Series 9 Ultrabook and failed to stock replacement batteries,
but that seems to be the case. I was able to get the OEM part number, BA43-00292A, from them, but zero supply is available from either their "parts" or "repair" facility. There are great threads online to guide users in the battery removal process, but without parts, it is a frustrating read.
My model number is NP900X3A-B06US. Bought is via amazon exactly 24 months ago. It is now a very expensive "desktop" with about 2 hours of run time. Not good.
Extensive online searches offered only highly questionable sources from Hong Cong that had a TON of highly negative reviews. I did see a few offered in the UK, but that seems like an extreme solution just to buy a battery.
If anyone has suggestions, please post.
Thanks,
Pat

Hello payday, welcome to NBR.
That is indeed frustrating. I do see that the usual sources don't have the battery in stock. A Google search for the part number revealed a few sources, such as this one as well as several UK sources. I have no firsthand experience with any of them. Maybe others here do. -

I see that Samsungparts.com also shows "no longer available" for this battery. The same situation applies for the NP900X3B for which we know that the NP900X3C battery is compatible (and has 10% more capacity). I wonder if there is also a newer battery that is compatible with the X3A.
You can also search for the battery number which, I think, is AA-PLAN6AR and leads me to this possible source.
If you don't like the look of that supplier then you'll have to pester Samsung support to try to find out if there is an alternative battery since the original part is no longer available.

I'm currently in the exact same boat. I have the same laptop, same model number as the OP, and my battery has also degraded to the point where I can only use it unplugged for about an hour and a half. I found this forum thread while I was searching for a place to buy a replacement battery.
I checked the sources in the U.K. and it seems that all of those are out of stock too. It doesn't say so on the product page, but if you try to place an order it says it's currently out of stock and unavailable. Also, it looks like those websites don't even ship lithium batteries from the UK to the US because lithium batteries are considered to be dangerous goods. -
Hello guys
John are you 100% sure this 46Wh battery can be install in 900x3c?Did somebody do that?
they don't look same to me. -

The X3B / X3C battery won't easily fit in the X3A. Comparison of the photos shows that the connector is in a different location but this may not be critical in which case it's the battery size and screw hole location that matters.
I'm willing to open up my X3B and take detailed measurements if someone does the same for the X3A.

My X3B OEM battery is pretty much shot, so I would love to replace it with the higher capacity X3C battery. However, I would rest easier if you have experience in actually using the battery in a different machine.
Thank you in advance. -

There was a bad batch of X3B batteries which prematurely lost capacity. I wonder if you have one of those. However, it's a bit late to be trying to persuade Samsung to replace it for free in view of their advertised claims for the battery longevity (see the attached), but you could try.

Regardless, I have an extended warranty on my X3B, and I was able to purchase an X3C battery using its coverage. It took a lot of searching to find a battery that seems to be Samsung OEM rather than some compatible, but I think I was able to pull it off. However, now I'm having a huge issue getting it working.
I can install the new battery and the laptop powers on and everything, but I can never get it to charge. Then when I try and go back to the old battery (in order to have something that can at least work for a little while without the cord), the laptop has an aneurysm and I have to go through the process of resetting the CMOS and leaving the laptop alone for many hours before I can even get it to post and boot into Windows again. Any suggestions?
Also, should I be starting a new thread, or is this still related enough to the original topic? -

First compare the label on the battery with this one which I think is genuine:
If the label looks OK then is the computer seeing the battery? A program such as BatteryInfoView will report the battery capacity etc as read from the battery. If it can't see the battery then I wonder whether the battery disconnect switch hasn't reconnected, which should happen automatically when the mains power is plugged in. You might be able to gently poke the switch through the hole in the bottom of the computer and cause it to work.
The problem when you put back the original battery is particularly puzzling and no one has reported anything similar.

The closest thing I can find to the problem that presents itself when I put the original battery back in is this, and that forum is the only reason I got my computer started again. Basically it's hold discharge and power for 20 seconds and then let it sit for a couple hours at least.
