    Hi Folks,

I'm looking to purchase the Samsung series, 9, but I'm confused with the various version numbers that Sumsung seem to use.

I saw NP900X3 A-B02NL on sale yesterday, which to me is the original series 9? But the specs on it matched what NP900X3 B

    i.e.
    Intel Core i5-2467M (1.6Gz)
    4GB RAM
    128 SSD

I'm obviously looking to purchase the latest version, but is that NP900X3 A-B02NL ??

    Thanks,
    Al

X3A may have same CPU etc as X3B but has 1366 x 768 display (not, IIRC, PLS) and is thicker / heavier but has higher capacity battery.

X3C is physically the same as the X3B but with Ivy Bridge platform inside and, so far, the same 4Gb + 128GB combination.

As far as I know, the X4B and X4C have the same size of battery. Intel have always claimed that Ivy Bridge will improve power efficiency so the X4C should run longer on battery. How much longer remains to be seen. Perhaps only 10% the display probably takes as much power s the CPU when under light loading.
