I have my hope that it is coming along with windows 8 products lineup.
But probability is quite low as there were no announcements or leaks so far.
That said it could also come with trade-offs like non touch display (mot likely as it is matte) and same 4G ram limitations as current model.

Do you mean that it could be limited to 4GB RAM?! That's a no go then. I need to run VM's so 8GB is my absolute minimum requirement. I would expect newer machines Ultrabooks to at least have the option to upgrade to 8GB.

I think by next Monday or Tuesday all of the makers should have their wares on full display. ASUS announced some interesting machines today. Dell actually has a Latitude that doesn't look like crap. And more is coming from other makers.

I'm sure Samsung has a surprise or two.

Samsung's global download site lists an NP900X3E but there is no other information available to indicate whether or not this is a significant change from the current X3C and X3D.

I don't know very much about Samsung's notebooks. I know the Series 9 is roughly on par with the Air when it comes to dimensions etc, but as a Windows machine, how do they perform? Are there any particular issues that plague the Series 9 notebooks? Do Samsung load their machines with bloatware? How is their website for support? And do they release driver updates regularly? (Sony was notoriously bad at providing updates of their custom drivers).

    Questions, questions... :)

There's not much bloatware, support and updates are not the worst but are well short of the best and performance of many of the Series 9s is impaired by Samsung's use of the Sandisk U100 SSD (not always, but very often). Other than that they are OK. Whatever you buy there are compromises.
