    Hi

I just got a new Samsung Q320 and am in the mix of getting it all figured out and set to my preferences but I have one question about Samsung Update Plus...

Is it worth using or am I better off getting updates on my own when necessary?

Is the updater more geared towards people that would rather just have the computer deal with the updates or would this find updates that someone could overlook but would be better off getting?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or information!

In my experience, there is a time lag between issue of updates on the download site and when Samsung Update Plus database is updated.

However, Samsung also have the annoying habit of putting new dates on old files on their download site, which can be confusing and you need to manually check the version numbers.

If there's something that you particularly want then self-service at the download site will reveal any updates quicker but, if you are happy with what you have got, then you can leave Update Plus to find any updates in the fullness of time.

great, that's pretty much what I wanted to know. I think I will just disable the update plus program, every time I start my computer it asks me to set it up but I don't think it will be of much use to me...

    Thanks for the reply!
