hi, recently my X15 decided to kick the bucket and now im back on the market for a new laptop and i've narrowed it down to an X60 or R65.
both ive looked at and i think its a hard decision, im looking at both the top specs they they currently do...
    R65 :-
    Geforce 7600
    SXGA+
    core duo 1.66ghz
    slightly heaver and thicker
    more slots/ram faster

    X60 :-
    ATI x1600
    WSXGA+
    core duo 2.00ghz
    remote
    slightly thinner

other then thoughs major diffrences they are pritty much the same laptop.
im currently at unversity doing my second year and i want something for everyday work, presentations, gaming, DVDs, the starndard stuff as well as travling with me alot..

im not as keen on ATI graphics cards, ive had 3 and they've all been given away as i thought they where poor preformence/poor driver design and ive always thought of a widescreen harder to live with. price is not an issue as they both cost arround the same..

maybe im missing something between the two?
please give me an opinion on which you would go for or if you own one and problems you've had

    thankx much!

I think your basic decision is whether or not to go for the widescreen display. My X60 is my third widescreen notebook. Apart from DVDs fitting the display better, you can get more icons on the toolbars and / or overlap application windows horizontally. And the lower height of the display relative to its total size means that it is easier to look over the top and see the rest of the world.
