This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Samsung X60 plus Optical drive update. Firmware SC03

    Not sure if anybody has noticed or received this update but the Samsung X60plus has received an update to it's optical DVD drive. This relates to the
    TSST TS-623M DVD-Supermulti drive. This update arrived via the Samsung Update Plus software today and has now been upgraded from firmware SC02 to SC03.

    Will keep you posted how the new firmware stacks up. So far so good it appears to be more stable from previous versions. :cool:

    I posted this thread in relation to this one below because I know people were having a few problems with the drive, like myself. I know some people may have got new drives by now or may have even sold their X60plus or at least planning to. I just felt I'd let eveyone know. ;)
