    model is NP270E5E-X03 screen is 15,6 ithink but dont know more

    Does the computer still work (connected to an external display if necessary - many TVs will take an input from a computer)? If so, then you can run Moninfo which may give more details of the panel type. Alternatively, you dismantle the lid and check the label on the back of the LCD.

    However, other displays may be compatible. The key details are the location and type of socket for the cable from the computer.

    There are companies who specialise in displays and some will accept returns if the supplied LCD is not compatible with your computer.
