I have a samsung np300e5c, Power turns On, but monitor doesn't.
Try to connect an external monitor to the VGA output but nothing.

I google this but no answer found.

What could it be? Flex? Graphic card?
    Is this a common issue?

    Thanks in advance!

If nothing on an external display connected to VGA then it is a mainboard problem. A power light coming on doesn't necessarily that power is reaching all the components. There are some fuses which can blow (very rare), there may be a bad connection or maybe something has died.

However, the place I would start is by checking the RAM. If the BIOS finds a RAM problem then the boot process stops. Remove the module(s) and put each back, in turn, trying both slots (if there are two) and testing if the computer starts at each step. If the board has soldered RAM then take out the single module. Sometimes the problem is that the contacts on the RAM have slightly oxidised and removal/replacement cleans then up. Disconnect the computer from the mains and remove the battery before handling the internal electronics.

One other possibility is to try removing the storage drive. A bad connection or a half-dead drive can sometimes confuse the BIOS which should, as a minimum, give a warning if there is no drive installed.

Otherwise there may be a more basic hardware problem. Sometimes the fault lies with a bad connector which can be fixed by dismantling and then reassembling everything.
